Microsyscell

Hight efficiency photovoltaic cells obtained using microsystem technologies.

Project

Having in sight the current tendency, having to step up worldwide in general and in particular at the european level, efforts to identify new sources of non-conventional energy, is evident the need for development of integrated technologies for the realization of photovoltaic solar cells of great efficiency and low price, on different substrates, using conventional technologies and nano-materials.
Photovoltaic cells represent a tempting solution for power supply to some isolated locations. These devices form the basis of some applications that range from simple systems and up to the most complex systems. The fact that the Assembly of these cells in areas/arrays on solar panels it is possible to obtain electrical energy represents a powerful investing argumet some considerable sums in research activities to allow the identification and resolution of problems that arise from technological achievement. Original manufacturing technology solar cells based on individual technological processes developed within MOS technologies and processes developed in micromachining, MEMS research-market requirements, allowing cost-effective realization of photovoltaic devices with high conversion efficiency.
By researching and developing a versatile technology of making solar cells with high conversion efficiency, ensure project opening a wide range of innovative industrial and technical applications for powering electric static and mobile consumers based on modern design possibilities for achieving a broad range of solar cell panels as alternative sources of energy with the highest levels of economic efficiency for the users.
The uptake of this technology in its manufacturing process, ensuring obtaining of solar cells with higher efficiency, which meet the quality conditions necessary to be used in interior lighting systems, the parameters of the forced internal and international standards, allow the removal of some products that lead to:

  • Operation of an indoor market niches currently only imported
  • To ensure a level of performance compared to similar imported products, but at a price less than cost sensitive, justified primarily by the lower cost of labour
  • Increasing the quality of Romanian products, resulting in the increase of export immediately and listing of them on foreign markets
  • Obtaining additional benefits generated by diversification of applications.

Research of new improvements in conversion efficiency at a low price is achieved by the combination of micromachining technologies with conventional technologies for the realization of semiconductor devices on Silicon.
Processes have been designed tenonologice individual associated in an optimum technological flux led finally in addition to increasing the efficiency of the solar cell and a significant reduction in the cost of manufacturing them (there are 2 levels of masking used instead of 4)-patent
